City Dwellers by Stephanie Rond and Oakland Nursery for Home & Garden Tour

In 2019, The Greater Columbus Arts Council commissioned Rond to work with Oakland Nursery to bring an Art Garden to those attending the Home & Garden Show. Rond choose to honor all the creatures that occupy urban spaces and call attention to our responsibility in their need for space and care.

“As we live and experience Urban living there is nothing more diverse than an Alley! The Alley is where the city puts on it’s casual face. It is where cars are washed, fences are painted, trash is gathered and an assortment of creatures’ dwell. Often you can see squirrels, raccoons, birds and even foxes and deer in and around an alley.
